Listen to Coach Cleveland on KMJ and KMPH
Fresno State men’s basketball coach Steve Cleveland (shown at right) will close out his broadcast season Monday, March 6. Cleveland is on radio (KMJ, AM 580) at 1 p.m. and on television (KMPH, Channel 26) during “The 10 O’Clock News.” 

Final men’s basketball trip is to Reno this weekend
Only one Bulldog basketball booster road trip is left this season: a trip to Reno to watch Fresno State play the Nevada Wolf Pack on Saturday, March 4.  Reservations can be made by contacting Tim Schiller at (559) 225-3164.

10th annual Kiwanis Torch of Excellence banquet is May 8
The 10th annual Kiwanis Torch of Excellence banquet has been set for May 8 by the sponsoring Fresno State Student-Athlete Services. The event honors student-athletes who have achieved a 3.0 or better cumulative GPA for the 2005 spring and fall semesters or maintained a 3.0 or higher GPA during their academic career.

Men’s Basketball Annual Awards Dinner set for March 13
The Time Out Club’s annual awards banquet is at 6 p.m. March 13 at Pardini’s banquet center. Following a social hour, dinner will be served at 7 o’clock and awards presented at 8. The cost is $40 for Time Out Club members; $45 for nonmembers. Seating is limited to 300. Reservations must be made by March 6, call Donna Gilley at 259.1767.

‘1430 ESPN Dog Zone Show’ keeps listeners informed
Catch up on Fresno State sports news from 4-6 p.m. Friday during the “1430 ESPN Dog Zone Show,” broadcast live from Fashion Furniture. The program features interviews with coaches, student-athletes and staff members.

Spring softball and baseball tournaments just ahead
The Fresno State baseball and softball teams will host their annual spring tournaments this month. Up first is the Bulldog Classic softball tourney March 9-13 presented by Bingham Toyota at Bulldog Diamond.  Baseball’s Pepsi/Johnny Quik Tournament runs March 13-18.  Tournament passes and ticket information can be had through www.gobulldogs.com or by contacting the Bulldog Ticket Office at 278.3647.

Bulldogs will host WAC Championships in baseball and softball
Fresno State will host two Western Athletic Conference spring championships: softball, May 11-13 at Bulldog Diamond, and baseball, May 25-28 at Beiden Field. The tournament schedule and ticket details are being worked out.

Keeping track of the Bulldogs is a snap
March is one of the busiest months for Fresno State athletics teams, with winter sports ending and spring sports well under way. Hagen named Fresno State offensive coordinator
Steve Hagen is the newest member of coach Pat Hill’s Fresno State football staff, chosen to replace Frank Cignetti (who went to North Carolina) as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Hagen most recently was quarterbacks and tight ends coach for the Cleveland Browns from 2001 to ‘04. He also has coached at UNLV, Nevada, Kent
State, Cal, Northern Arizona, Illinois, Kansas and San Jose State.
