  Experimental Theatre Company offers 'Macbeth'

Fresno State’s Experimental Theatre Company presents William Shakespeare’s “Macbeth.”

In keeping with ETC’s recent string of rough and unconventional productions (“Debbie Does Dallas” and “The Fez”), however, this is not your grandmother’s “Macbeth.”

Part absurdist rock concert, part Brechtian children’s theater, this “Macbeth” explores the life, energy, horror and humor in Shakespeare’s darkest play.

It is sure to hold surprises even for those already familiar with the play.

“Macbeth” will be performed at 8 p.m. Friday, April 6; at 4 and 8 p.m. Saturday, April 7; and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 8, in the Lab School Theatre.

For more information, call the Theatre Box Office at 278.2216. Tickets, which cost $5, can be purchased at the Theatre Box Office or online at www.csufresno.edu/Theatre.
