Theatre for Young Audiences Tour plans campus stop April 20-22
Each spring, Fresno State students enrolled in the Theatre for Young Audiences Tour perform for elementary schools throughout the central San Joaquin Valley.

This company of student actors has been a tradition at Fresno State for nearly 40 years, typically traveling to more than 30 schools and playing to more than 16,000 children each season.

This year's offering, “Yer's Pa Ndau: A Hmong Tiger Tale,” was written by university students Cindy Thao, Judy Vang, Sam Frank, Erika Antonio and May Lee in collaboration with Professor Kim Morin as part of a class project.

This diverse group wanted to create a play for children that explored the rich cultural and folklore traditions of the Hmong people. The script is primarily in English, but some dialogue is spoken in Hmong.

Performances at Fresno State allow the general public to see the program offered to the schools. This year's show times are at 9:30 and 11 a.m. April 20, 11 a.m. April 21 and 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. April 22 in the Arena Theatre in the Speech Arts Building.

Some performances may be available for university classes to attend. If you are interested, please contact Kim Morin at 278.4342 or kimm@csufresno.edu.
