Vintage Days ‘06 is April 20-23 at Fresno State

This year’s Vintage Days includes a turn in the national spotlight as syndicated radio talk-show host Stephanie Miller broadcasts from the Satellite Student Union during Day 2 of the four-day event that begins April 20. Also scheduled are a Casino Night (7-11 p.m. April 20), the Boomtown Carnival, Kids Zone and Crafts Faire (10 a.m.-5 p.m. April 21-23) and Salsa Night (6:30 p.m.-midnight April 21). Pioneering Westside farmer Jack Woolf honored by Ag One
Fresno State’s Ag One Foundation will recognize Jack Woolf at its Community Salute award dinner May 12 at the downtown Fresno Convention Center Exhibit Hall. Woolf, who worked many years managing ranches of Westside farming giant Russell Giffen, launched his own ranching and other ag-related businesses as Woolf Enterprises in 1974, building his business into one of the area’s biggest in the industry Woolf also has given generously to the community and the Community Salute will help establish the Ag One-Jack Woolf Scholarship Endowment Fund to benefit students seeking a degree in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology.
