Osher programs reach more than 400 people

The spring schedule of Osher Lifelong Learning Institute programs, geared to people 50 and older, concludes with a bus tour Wednesday, April 5, to the Getty Museum in Malibu.

During its first year at Fresno State, the programs were attended by more than 400 people.

Plans are being made for the 2006-7 Osher schedule.

Already signed for Sept. 13 is Dan Walter, a political analyst for the Sacramento Bee, whose columns appear in the Fresno Bee. His talk, which comes as the November election campaign will be heating up, will be open to the general public.

And there will be a travel-study program to China, available through the university’s Division of Continuing and Global Education, which runs the Osher Institute program.

Fresno State's Osher program membership is available to anyone 50 and older who wants to continue learning and exploring. It is funded in part by the Bernard Osher Foundation.

Information on the fall program is available by calling 278.0333.
