A record-setting season for women’s basketball
Although
a three-pointer at the buzzer just missed and Fresno State lost 64-61 at Kansas State in the second round of the Women’s National Invitation Tournament, the 2005-06 season was a record-setter for the Bulldogs. Fresno State scored a school-best 24-8 record and won 15 of 16 games at the Save Mart Center. The team helped erase some of the disappointment of an upset loss in the Western Athletic Conference tournament by beating UC-Santa Barbara and UNLV to advance to the game against the Wildcats. And the team’s 14-2 run through the WAC, which included a win over perennial power Louisiana Tech, was good for a second-place finish. More...

Bid for the Bulldogs will be June 3
The annual A Bid for the Bulldogs auction event, a fundraiser for Fresno State Athletics Department academic-related services and programs, is scheduled June 3 at the North Gymnasium and adjacent courtyard. Participants pay $50 for food, beverage and the opportunity to bid in live and silent auctions that offer items such as foreign and domestic trips, household and business items and a wide range of services.
