Donors’ generosity recognized by Fresno State throughout the year

The generosity of the university’s biggest donors will be recognized Saturday, May 6, when the Pinnacle Society Dinner brings together Fresno State’s academic and development leaders with people who have contributed a cumulative $500,000 or more. Established in 1996, the Pinnacle Society honored those who contributed $100,000 or more to the university. In 2005, the giving level was revised to honor those who contributed $500,000 or more. Those that were inducted prior to 2005 are considered founding members of the Pinnacle Society.

The event is one of several annual opportunities Fresno State takes to thank people who donate to the university’s existing programs and who invest in the future by endowing scholarships and professorships or help underwrite new buildings and programs.

In April, the Donor Appreciation Reception welcomed people who have contributed $25,000 or more.

The Heritage Society, whose thank-you event is in June, honors individuals who have included Fresno State in their philanthropic plans by naming the university in a bequest, trust, real estate or insurance gift or charitable gift annuity.

The Centennial Society Dinner in September will bring together people who have contributed at least $10,000 during the past year.

The events are part of Fresno State’s ongoing advancement efforts that extend into the off- and on-campus communities

Included is comprehensive campaign at Fresno State, which offers numerous ways for people help strengthen academic programs and enhance opportunities for faculty and students that extend engagement from the regional level throughout the world.
