Triple A team honors Fresno State with special night Thursday

The Fresno Grizzles will pay tribute to Fresno State’s service and commitment to education throughout the region at the Thursday, May 4, Pacific Coast League game against the Tucson Sidewinders.

Game time is 7:05 p.m., but people are asked to show up early for a tailgate party. Fans are asked to wear Fresno State athletics apparel/

Field-level reserved tickets will be $5. The pregame tailgate, which includes all-you-can eat hot dogs, chips and soda, is an additional $7.

Several schools, departments and organizations will be joined by athletics and alumni to showcase showcasing opportunities they provide to Fresno State students. Several Fresno State-themed promotions, competitions and giveaways are planned during the evening.

And fans will be able to buy a limited-edition Grizzlies cap commemorating Fresno State Tribute Night.

Proceeds from the sale of the hats and from a silent auction will benefit the Rachel Donaldson Fund. Donaldson is a member of the Bulldog softball team who was diagnosed with cancer before the season began.
