First Innovation Index lists region’s strengths and shortcomings
“The Innovation Economy Agenda: Setting Priorities and Assessing Progress in the Central San Joaquin Valley Region” offers encouragement and defines challenges for the region. This first-ever Innovation Index was produced by the Fresno State-based Lyles Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Office of Community and Economic Development in conjunction with a Boston-area research partner. The report shows how the area rates with others in several areas critical to a discussion of ways to enhance the economy of the central San Joaquin Valley.
