Fresno State is offering its annual selection of summer academic and athletics camps, classes and clinics for students in elementary, middle and high school.

Youth will have the opportunity to participate in engineering, design and entrepreneurship programs, as well as sports camps in football, basketball, volleyball and lacrosse, soccer, softball and baseball to better prepare student-athletes for their upcoming seasons.

2015 sessions will include:

Kids Invent! – Kids Invent! Summer Camps are offered to children in kindergarten to sixth grade. Camps are housed at the Lyles Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Fresno State and provide students with hands-on applications of science and math through thought-provoking Creative Activities. Toy Workshop for students in grades K-3. Students use math, science and technology concepts to invent their own toy. Camp concludes with the Toy Fair where each inventor shows off their creation.  Sessions are $300. Session 1 runs July 13-17; session 2 runs July 27-31. Classes are Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Digital Video Studio for students in grades 4-6. Campers learn basic photography, video production and computer editing skills. Camp concludes with Academy of Kids Invent!, where students present their videos. Sessions are $325. Session 1 runs June 22-26; session 2 runs July 6-10. Classes are Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Robotics Lab for students in Grades 4-6. Students build and program a robot to complete various tasks. All campers keep their robot at the end of camp. Sessions are $375. Session 1 runs July 20-24, session 2 runs August 3-7. Classes are Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

BARK Camps

The BARK Rec Sports Camp is designed to provide campers ages 6–12 with a variety of fun activities where they can master new skills, be creative, foster new friendships and have a positive experience in a safe environment. Sessions run: June 15-19, June 22-26, July 6-10, July 13-17, July 20-24 and July 27-31 from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Registration is $200 per week general, $175 per week for Fresno State students, faculty, staff or Alumni Association members, and $30 per week for extended care (3:30-5:30 p.m.) paid in advance. Basketball Camps

Boys and girls ages 8-18 will train with Fresno State coaches and student-athletes to improve abilities in all aspects of basketball. Boys camps run June 17-19, June 29-July 2 and July 23-26. Football Camps

  • Battle in the Valley: 7-On-7 Team Passing Camp — Teams will compete in pool-play to determine seeding for the championship tournament. Games will consist of two 15-minute halves with a five-minute halftime. DETAILS: 9 a.m.-6 p.m. June 6; $275 per team (25 players max.) High school coach must register teams.
  • Elite Skills Camp: Skills and techniques for students entering Grades 9-12. DETAILS: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. June 7, 9, 10, 11, and 16. Registration is $90 per student.
  • Youth Camp – For players entering grades K-8. DETAILS: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. June 17-18; registration $99, $15 per day extended care (3-5 p.m.)

Lacrosse Camps

Fresno State Women’s Lacrosse Camps provide individuals in grades 7-12 with opportunities to further develop individual skills, fundamentals and team concepts. DETAILS: July 5-6, July 7, and July 7. Swimming and Diving Camps

The Fresno State swimming and diving program will teach the basic fundamentals of diving to swimmers with little to no experience. DETAILS: two week sessions May 26-June 4 and June 8-18. Four sessions within both clinics; each one lasting a half-hour between 4:30-6:30 p.m. $100 per diver. Soccer Camps

The Fresno State women’s soccer team will host three camps, each geared toward respective age groups. Each will have two sessions to choose from during the summer of 2015. Two are coed – the Pups Half Day Camp (pre-school – 3rd grade) and the Junior Bulldogs Day Camp (grades 4-8), while the Advanced Position Camp (grades 9-12) is solely for girls. The Fresno State Baseball team has opened registration for its 2015 Summer Baseball Camps.
