Fresno State’s Hmong Studies Program has been officially approved by the University as a new minor for the Department of Linguistics, the office of the Dean of Undergraduate Studies announced last week. The new minor, which is only the fifth such program in the nation and first in the western United States, will begin in the fall 2016 semester with Linguistics faculty member Dr. Kao-Ly Yang serving as program coordinator.
