History Professor Jill Fields, who is among the organizers of the Feminist Art Symposium titled “Celebrating 30 Years of Feminist Art in Fresno and Beyond” March 1-3 at the university, will be available Wednesday through Friday (Feb. 28-March 2) for interviews about the history and significance of feminist art, which got its start at Fresno State.

Photography also may be arranged in the Phebe Conley Art Building, where prints and drawings by Judy Chicago are on display. Chicago, founder of the feminist art movement while teaching at Fresno State 30 years ago, will speak at 8 p.m. Thursday as part of the University Lecture Series.

For interviews with Fields or local feminist artists involved in the symposium, contact Shirley Armbruster at 278-2795.
