Equestrian competition on Dec. 15 to benefit toys for tots drive

The Fresno Chapter of the California Dressage Society will hold an equestrian competition to benefit Toys for Tots on Saturday, Dec. 15, in cooperation with the equestrian team at California State University, Fresno.

The competition will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Animal Science Pavilion, 2708 E. Barstow Ave., at Fresno State. Admission is one unwrapped, new toy.

As many as 50 contestants are expected to enter the Olympic-style competition in which horses and riders maneuver a course of various jumps and obstacles. Dec. 1 is the deadline for entries.

Fresno State equestrian team members will be among the contestants and also will assist the members of the Fresno chapter in running the show.
