Dr. Ellen Frankenburg, a writer and editor with Family Business Magazine and a family business psychologist, will be the keynote speaker at the Institute for Family Business Awards Luncheon beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at the Radisson Hotel (Sequoia Room) in Fresno.

Also at the luncheon, the 2003 Family Business of the Year Award will be presented and six family business category award winners will be honored.

Frankenburg holds a doctorate from The Ohio State University and a diploma from the American Board of Professional Psychology for advanced competence in the specialty of family psychology.

For almost a dozen years, the Institute for Family Business in association with California State University, Fresno has provided education for family-owned businesses. Topics range from general business planning to more specific and critical issues that relate to the unique relationships within family businesses, such as defining roles and conflict management.

The annual family business awards symbolize the importance of families, their businesses and the interrelatedness of success of both.
