The third concert of the 2003-2004 inaugural season of Musica Viva, a new chamber music series, will take place on Friday, Jan. 23, 2004 in the Wahlberg Recital Hall on the campus of California State University, Fresno.

The concert, which is being hosted by the university’s Music Department, will start at 8 p.m., however, there will be a pre-concert lecture (included in the price of admission), which will start at 7 p.m.

Musica Viva’s third concert event will feature piano trios by Ludwig van Beethoven, Ernest Bloch and Johannes Brahms.

Performing artists scheduled for the concert are violinist Susan Doering; cellist, Dieter Wulfhorst; and pianist Stephen Thomas.

The next concert is scheduled for March 26, 2004.

Admission to the event is $12.50 general, $7 faculty/ staff/ seniors, and $5 students.

Tickets may be purchased in the Department of Music Office (M-134) between the hours of 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday.
