More than 250 family members and friends gathered to honor four fall graduates who received their first salutes as 2nd Lieutenants at the California State University, Fresno Air Force ROTC Detachment 035 commissioning ceremony. The new officers are:

Jason V. Locatelli of Selma, who earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. His first assignment will be as a Logistics Readiness Officer for the 319th Air Refueling Wing at Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota.

Tony Montes IV of Valley Springs, who earned a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication Journalism: Public Relations. His first assignment is at Travis AFB, California, as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer for the 60th Maintenance Squadron.

Dustin H. Creed of Tollhouse, who received the elite five-year scholarship under the Air Force College Scholarship Program, earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. His first assignment is as a Civil Engineer for the 354th civil Engineering Squadron at Eielson AFB, near Fairbanks, Alaska.

Gloria N. Ramirez of Fresno received a bachelor of science in Criminology: Corrections. Prior to attending training for her position as an Air Battle Manager she will serve her first duty assignment with Detachment 035 at Fresno State as an Additional Duty Recruiting Officer.

Ramirez also was presented the Blue Chip award, which provides future preferential educational consideration for a master’s degree with the Air Force Institute of Technology.
