The group’s annual tea is a themed event, and the theme this year is Beatrix Potter (1866-1943), a beloved children’s author and creator of Peter Rabbit. In all, she wrote and illustrated 23 little books.

Linda Spalding, born in Scotland, has found her alter ego in portraying Beatrix Potter. Once she gets into character, she rarely slips out of it.

Beatrix Potter fans Denise Sciandra and Lydia Kuhn will display their Potter collectibles, including china teacups, teapots and plates, which will be

used for the tea, plus the 23 little books, figurines, stuffed animals, toys, artwork, and books about Beatrix Potter’s life, including her 1881-1897 journal.
