African People’s History Month is under way at California State University, Fresno with several events planned including the Savage Jazz Dance Company, Sunday, Feb. 22, at 7 p.m. in the Satellite Student Union.

The award-winning jazz troupe — the only all-jazz concert company in Northern California and one of a few in the United States — is presented by University Student Union (USU) Productions, a non-profit, student programming organization at Fresno State.

Other African People’s History Month schedule for this week include a poetry jam on Wednesday, a health issues forum on Thursday, a gospel concert on Friday and a daylong “Welcoming Diversity” Workshop on Saturday
