More than 500 teacher hopefuls will attend the Central Valley’s major teacher recruiting event of the year, the 21st Annual Spring Teacher Recruitment Fair sponsored by California State University, Fresno on Thursday, March 25, at the Fresno Convention Center.

Diane Dille, coordinator of the education division of Fresno State’s Career Services, reports that this year 69 districts and more than 300 administrators from throughout the state will be shopping for teacher candidates in the New Exhibit Hall from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Dille said the hiring prospects this year are good for candidates who are fully credentialized, single subject and special education applicants and multiple subject candidates who have cleared the CSET.

The fair’s job interviews often result in students leaving campus with signed contracts, said Dille, who has coordinated the fair for the past ten years.
