The Lyles Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at California State University, Fresno is sponsoring an “Invention to Venture” workshop on Saturday, May 1 in McLane Hall, room 121.

Invention to Venture is a one-day session on technology-driven entrepreneurship for students, faculty, regional entrepreneurs, investors and business leaders.

The workshop will focus on technology commercialization, and provides an opportunity for participants to learn technology entrepreneurship basics, plus build their networks and develop plans for moving their ideas forward.

Jim Wright, alumni of the Fresno State’s engineering and MBA programs, said he will attend the workshop because, “It is an excellent place to meet other entrepreneurs and angel investors who I hope will help make my business, Lighting Steps, a commercial success.”

Parking will be relaxed in lots M and D. For more information contact Genelle Taylor at the Lyles Center, (559) 294-2045 or go to http://www.invention2venture.com/.
