Swedish cellist, Torleif Thedéen will teach a free masterciass on Thursday, March 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Wahlberg Recital Hall on the campus of California State University, Fresno.
The event, which is hosted by the university’s Department of Music, is free and open to the public.
Thedéen has won three of the most important international cello competitions. He has recorded extensively for the BIS label and has performed as a soloist with orchestras in Berlin, Amsterdam, Brussels, Prague, Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki, Copenhagen, and Moscow. In 1992 he was appointed Professor at the Royal Conservatoire of Copenhagen, and since 1996 he has been a professor at the Stockholm Edsberg Musikinstitut.
