The California State University, Fresno Flute Ensemble and student soloists will present a recital at 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 29 in the Wahlberg Recital Hall in the Music Building on campus.

Student soloists include Alissa Ardito, Jennifer Avila, Colleen Boyle, Joshua Bruce, Leigh Ann Martin and Emily Willingham who will perform Bach, Bizet, Enesco, Ganne, Handel and Pessard.

The Flute Ensemble will be performing a quartet by Eugene Bozza, Jour D’Ete a la Montagne, and different small groups will take turns performing each of the movements. The entire ensemble (of 19 flutists) will perform an arrangement of Ponchielli’s Dance of the Hours from “La Gioconda,” and will also accompany Dr. Teresa Beaman in an arrangement of Vivaldi’s Concerto in D Major, “Il Gardelino.”

The Flute Ensemble is under the direction of Dr. Teresa Beaman.

Admission is $6 General; $5 Faculty/Staff; $4 Students/Seniors. Tickets may be purchased in the Music Department Office, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., or at the Box Office beginning one hour prior to the concert start time.
