Two Fresno State students from the Bulldoggers rodeo team are on the bubble to qualify tonight (June 18) for tomorrow night’s final performance of the College National Finals Rodeo under way in Casper, Wyoming.
Seniors Nicole Lerno and Jason Sanders are participating in barrel racing and team roping respectively. Tonight’s results should be available by about 7 p.m. on the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association web site: http://www.collegerodeo.com/
Bulldogger adviser Dr. Art Parham, chair of the Animal Science Department at Fresno State, said Lerno is ranked fourth in the West Coast region barrel racing but 15th in the nation and stands a good chance to advance to the finals being held in the Casper Events Center.
