Jesse R. Arreguin, executive director of the Fresno Regional Foundation, has been named director for development for two colleges – the College of Social Sciences and the College of Arts and Humanities — at California State University, Fresno.

His first day will be July 1. He will be responsible for leading fund raising and constituent relations for the two colleges, under the umbrella of the Division of University Advancement.

Arreguin has been with the Fresno Regional Foundation since 1996. Prior to that he was director of the Fresno Youth Development Initiative and was field representative for State Sen. Jim Costa.

He holds a bachelor of arts degree in political science from the University of California at Davis. He served on the boards of MALDEF Leadership Development Program and Central California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Arreguin has two children, a son who serves in Coast Guard and daughter who is a senior at Fresno State.
