Applications are available for the Fresno State Leadership Program, a one-year leadership skills development program. The program which engages students in learning the foundations of leadership, enriching their collegiate experience and that of others, actively committing to responsible leadership in their community and developing the skills and abilities to succeed.

The program, sponsored by Associated Students and the Division of Student Affairs, will select 30 students. Participants will complete the following program components: Attend monthly workshops and a leadership retreat; spend at least 30 hours on a campus

committee, event, program, community event or special project; interview an individual from the business or campus community who displays exceptional leadership skills and write a two- page paper on interview experience; write a final paper (three to five) pages

The final project for the leadership class will be to design and participate in a project that

will benefit the campus community. Upon completion of the program, students will receive a letter of commendation from Fresno State President John D. Welty and a certificate of completion.
