The Fresno State EOP Alumni Chapter will present “Romance Under the Stars,” a Valentine’s Day Fundraiser to benefit its scholarship fund, on Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Downing Planetarium on campus (5320 N. Maple Ave.).
The event will be from 7 to 9 p.m. and will feature a night of wine, hors d’oeuvres and a 45-minute Planetarium show. “Oceans and Space.” The Planetarium show begins promptly at 8 p.m.
Tickets are available for $30 per person and $50 per couple at the Fresno State Alumni Association office in the Smittcamp Alumni House between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday or by calling 559.278.2586. The Fresno State EOP (Educational Opportunity Program) Alumni Chapter, an official chapter of the Fresno State Alumni Association, is a network of individuals committed to promoting and supporting the advancement of the EOP at Fresno State and the students it serves.
The EOP has provided admission and retention support services to low-income and first-generation college bound students for more than three decades. Today the EOP Alumni Chapter consists of a diverse group of individuals that hold degrees from a variety of academic disciplines.
To date the chapter has awarded more than $3,000 in student scholarships. The chapter membership includes EOP Alumni, current EOP students and friends.
