First Hispanic Youth Symposium
in western U.S. to be announced at Fresno State
Officials from the Hispanic College Fund based in Washington D.C., will be at California State University, Fresno on Tuesday to announce the first Hispanic Youth Symposium in the western United States.

Set for Aug. 4-6, the symposium will host more than 150 Central California high school students (Fresno, Kings, Tulare, Madera counties) with multi-faceted workshops, seminars, networking and mentoring opportunities focusing on building an infrastructure for future success. Fresno State’s symposium will be the third in the nation (Baltimore and Virginia) and the first in the western U.S. Theme: Raices y Alas (Roots and Wings).
