Amy DeGraw has been appointed associate director of Alumni Relations for the Fresno State Alumni Association.

DeGraw, who is the assistant events coordinator for the Office of the President, begins her new assignment July 1. She replaces Leticia Reyna, who accepted a new position in April as director of Donor and Volunteer Relations for the university’s comprehensive campaign.

Jacquelyn K. Glasener, Alumni Association executive director, announced DeGraw’s appointment. Among DeGraw’s duties will be working with 16 specialized alumni chapters already operating and four more in the works.

“The chapters are critical to our outreach,” Glasener said. “They are building the grassroots connections for the Alumni Association and the university. We are very pleased that someone of Amy’s abilities and talents is joining the Alumni Association team.”

DeGraw also will work on Homecoming, when alumni are invited back to their alma mater for a weekend celebration. The 2007 Homecoming is scheduled around the Oct. 14 Bulldogs football game against Hawai’i.

DeGraw graduated from Fresno State in 2003 with a bachelor of arts in Interior design. As the assistant events coordinator since her graduation, she has assisted with university- related and comprehensive campaign events. Previously, DeGraw was a field services representative for the American Cancer Society and a special events manager for Wolf Lakes Park. She is a 1994 graduate of Sanger High School.
