Four Fresno State football players were injured in a single-car accident in the rain on Highway 99 in Selma late Friday afternoon (Feb. 22) that claimed the life of a fifth man in the vehicle.
The dead man is not a Fresno State student, university officials reported. The Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified him as Terren Hall, 18, of Los Angeles.
The injured student-athletes were taken to Fresno Community Regional Medical Center where they were treated and released. They are Sharrod Davis of Spring Valley, Terrance Dennis of Pomona, Isaiah Green of Long Beach and Jermaine Thomas of Duarte.
The California Highway Patrol said the vehicle, driven by Thomas, went out of control and rolled. Thomas said he was forced to take evasive action when a vehicle pulled out in front of him, according to University Police Chief David Huerta.
