Henry T. Perea, a 2001 California State University, Fresno graduate and Fresno City Council member, has joined the Dean’s Leadership Circle in the College of Social Sciences. The group advises Dean Luz Gonzalez, providing community-based perspective and insight to further the mission and the goals of the college.
Gonzalez said Perea’s civic and leadership experience will be a key asset to furthering the goals of the college. “It is also extremely gratifying for me to see one of our own graduates return to the university and college in this capacity,” she said.
Perea earned his bachelor’s degree in political science at Fresno State. He completed the Senior Executives in State and Local Government Program at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. He has been a City Council member since 2002.
