Dr. George Vozikis, director of the Craig School of Business’ Institute for Family Business, will be the featured speaker at the Sunrise Summit on Wednesday, May 7, at 7:30 a.m. at the Lamp Liter Inn in Visalia.

Titled “Families in Business and Business in Families,” the seminar examines what a family business is, the perceived weakness of family firms and how to know when help is needed. Three local winners of the Family Business Award will be announced

Vozikis, is the Edward Reighard Chair of Management and director of the Institute for Family Business at California State University, Fresno. He previously served as Bovaird Endowed Chair of Entrepreneurial Studies at the University of Tulsa. He also is the founding director of the university’s Family-Owned Business Institute and the Tulsa University Innovation Institute.
