“Authors & Children Of Authors” featuring Aram Saroyan, Thomas Steinbeck and Susan Cheever will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, in the Satellite Student Union at California State University, Fresno.

The three authors will talk about their families’ literary traditions, what it is like to be the child of a celebrated author and how their fathers have inspired their writing.

All three are children of Pulitzer Prize-winning authors: William Saroyan, John Cheever and John Steinbeck.

The session will be moderated by Steve Yarbrough, the James and Coke Hallowell Professor of Creative Writing in Fresno State’s Department of English.

Admission is free. A book signing and refreshments follow the program.

The program, part of the celebration of the centennial of William Saroyan’s birth in Fresno in 1908, is sponsored by the Henry Madden Library and the Fresno County Public Library.
