The Mexican-American War and the relationship between the United States and Mexico will be discussed Wednesday, April 30, at California State University, Fresno by Dr. Romana Falcón, professor of Mexican history at El Colegio de México in Mexico City.

The lecture at 4 p.m. in the Music Building, Room 160 is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the College of Social Sciences, the Department of Chicano and Latin American Studies and the Central Valley Latin American Project.

Falcón earned her Ph.D. in political science from Oxford University. Her research interests include the analysis of power and society in Mexico.
