California State University, Fresno students will have the opportunity to learn from successful entrepreneur Scott Graham, a Fresno State alumnus, who will be on campus Nov. 17-19 as this year’s Entrepreneur in Residence.

Graham is CEO of XPACS (Xtreme Personal Assistant Concierge Services).

The program, sponsored by the Lyles Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, brings a renowned entrepreneur to campus each year to connect with students, entrepreneurs and community leaders.

Graham’s visit will coincide with Global Entrepreneur Week, during which universities across the nation schedule activities to demonstrate entrepreneurship as a viable career path.

XPACS is an international concierge service for corporations, celebrities and other individuals whose time is too valuable to take up with planning day-to-day details. The company has a private, exclusive network of global concierges and relationship managers dedicated to handling everything from travel arrangements to dry cleaning.

Graham, 29, started his company in 1999 while he was a student and basketball player at Fresno State. He met many professional athletes and noticed that they usually had little time for personal errands, which inspired the personal concierge idea.

Graham, who graduated with a degree in international business, began by doing odd jobs and eventually grew his company to what it is today.

“Entrepreneurship is a beautiful thing,” he said. “Had I known then what I know now, I would have definitely pursued it from the start.”

As this year’s Entrepreneur in Residence, Graham will speak about entrepreneurship to students in classes and in organization and club meetings at the Craig School of Business. His stay will conclude Nov. 19 with a social reception.

Graham wants to give students a fresh perspective: “I want them to know I’m young and I’m doing it.” He said his overall goal at Fresno State is to deliver a message of hope and encouragement.
