Fresno State wines featured in Feb. 14-15 Lovers Weekend

The eighth annual Wine and Chocolate Lovers Weekend, sponsored by the Twin Rivers Vintners of Fresno County on Valentine’s weekend, will include a stop at the Gibson Farm Market wine to taste award-winning Fresno State Winery vintages.

The Fresno State stop, one of six at wineries throughout the county, will be from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb 14, and Sunday, Feb. 15. The market is on the Fresno State campus at Chestnut and Barstow avenues. (The entire event is 12 to 6 p.m. for those wishing to also visit other wineries after the Fresno State stop).

The event is free and open to the public. Wine and chocolate treats will be served at each stop on the tour.

The Fresno State Winery, the first winery on a university campus licensed to produce, bottle and sell wine, also will participate in the March 28-29 Fresno County Wine Journey. Participants will be offered a chance to take the Wine Trolley to six locations, including Fresno State, for tastings of wine and food.

For more information, contact Jennifer Sobieralski at 559.278.4511 or visit www.fresnowines.com for a listing of all the stops on the Wine and Chocolate Lovers Weekend.
