The three-person long-form improve group Dasariski will perform at 7 p.m. on July 18, at the John Wright Theatre as part of a busy weekend for CSU Summer Arts at California State University, Fresno.

Dasariski members Robert Dassie, Rich Talarico and Craig Cacowski are veterans of Chicago’s improvisational comedy scene who now are based in Los Angeles. Dasariski combines the names of the three performers. Tickets are $15-$25.

Author Doug Rice (“Blood of Mugwump,” “Skin Prayer,” “A Good Boy is Hard to Find”) will read from a work-in-progress at 2 p.m. on July 18 at the Conley Lecture Hall in the Phebe Conley Art Building on campus. This event is free to the public.

A lecture on film scoring will kick off the final week of the 2009 CSU Summer Arts at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 19, at the Fresno Art Museum, 2233 N. First St., south of Clinton Avenue. Admission is $7-$10.
