California State University, Fresno officials said July 13 that courses offered by the Division of Continuing and Global Education (DCGE) are not impacted by the recent California State University admissions freeze and enrollment is open for all courses offered through DCGE.

Last week, the Chancellor’s Office announced that regular spring 2010 admissions are closed on all CSU campuses because of the state budget crisis. Because DCGE is a self-supporting, non-state funded program, all courses will continue to be open for registration, said Dr. Berta González, associate vice president of the Division.

Among the opportunities available through DCGE are Open University, which allows individuals to register for regular university courses on a space available basis without being admitted to Fresno State; and Intersession, which occurs between regular semesters and offers credit courses that anyone can attend.
