The second of 24 administrative furlough days for California State University, Fresno staff members is Monday, Aug. 10, curtailing all but instructional activities on campus. The University Police Department is not affected by the furloughs.

Severe cutbacks in state support for the California State University have caused a $564 million shortfall between revenues and costs, forcing the 23-campus system to raise student fees, cut enrollment, furlough workers and take other cost-cutting measures.

Fresno State offices will reopen at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, for the final week before the fall semester begins.
