Campus neighborhood parents looking for a safe and fun place for their little trick-or-treaters to ply their spooky trade, again this year will find goodies galore at the annual University Courtyard Halloween Carnival at California State University, Fresno’s residence halls.

The free event will be staged from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, offering games, activities, prizes and indoor trick-or-treating at Homan Hall, near Cedar and Shaw avenues. There will be no charge to park in Lot G, which has an entrance off Cedar at Scott Avenue (north of Shaw and south of the Wathen Tennis Center).

“Fresno State students care about the Fresno community,” said Olivia Muñoz, resident director of Homan Hall and this year’s carnival organizer. “Our goal for the annual carnival is to provide a safe and fun atmosphere for families to enjoy Halloween.”

Invitations were sent to area schools, as well as to Stone Soup, which serves the El Dorado Park community just west of campus. Many faculty and staff also bring their children to the event each year.
