10 a.m. – The campus voice mail system is back up. The vendor was able to restore the system to its state as of Nov. 13, 2009. This means that your voice mail box will have messages in the state in which they existed on Nov. 13. Unfortunately, messages since Nov. 13, whether saved or unheard, will not be available. Your message indicator light will be on if you had new messages as of 11 a.m. Nov.13. Some of them you may already had heard. Thank you for again your patience.

9 a.m. – The campus voice mail system is expected to be back up later today. The parts to repair the system should arrive this morning and then the vendor will begin work to restore the system. Just a reminder that callers will hear a continuous ring until the call is answered. Please watch Bulletin Board for an update at noon today. Thank you for your patience as we work with the vendor to resolve this problem.

5 p.m. – The campus voice mail system remains down. Unfortunately there has been an unexpected delay in the arrival of parts. Our voice mail vendor will be working to restore the service Tuesday morning. We will provide an update by 10 a.m. Tuesday.

2 p.m. – We had no additional reports of off-campus callers getting busy signals and AT&T reports the service is now working normally.

In an unrelated problem, the campus voice mail system remains down and will be unavailable for the remainder of the business day. Our voice mail vendor is bringing in replacement parts this afternoon and we expect the service to be restored before the start of business Tuesday.

10:40 a.m.. – Fresno State is experiencing two non-related issues affecting phone service. Some callers from off-campus are reporting a busy signal when calling a campus number. This is not a campus issue, but is due to a failure in external phone service. AT&T is working to fully restore their service but has not yet given an estimated time for the problem to be resolved. Since many callers are getting through, callers receiving busy signals should try again.

Separately, the campus voice mail system is down and users cannot retrieve or leave voice mail. This outage also has caused callers to get a busy signal when trying to call the Help Desk. Help Desk calls have been rerouted so the Help Desk numbers should now work correctly. Our voice mail vendor is on campus and working on the issue but there is no estimated time for resolution of the problem.

9 a.m. – Some callers from off-campus are experiencing difficulty reaching campus numbers. AT&T is aware of the issue and is working to resolve it. There is not yet an estimated time for repair.
