The Rue and Gwen Gibson Farm Market on the California State University, Fresno campus will be one stop on the Fresno County Wine Journey’s Wine and Chocolate Lovers Weekend.

Fresno State students in the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology will serve samples of student-produced chocolate-coated raisins and almonds and four wines from the Fresno State Winery, which trains students for careers in the industry.

Free tastes will be offered at the market noon-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 13-14. Fresno State is one of six stops on the county tour.

A new attraction is Fresno State raisins soaked in 2006 Fresno State Winery Cabernet Sauvignon and dipped in dark chocolate.

Wine tasting will be available to people at least 21 years old. The tasting will be in two flights – Fresno State 2006 Solare and 2006 Triangulum, both sweet after-dinner wines – and 2005 Petite Sirah and 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon, which pair well with chocolate.

Special Valentine’s Day gifts will be available for purchase at the Gibson Farm Market, which is at Chestnut and Barstow avenues.
