The College of Arts and Humanities at California State University, Fresno continues it’s Distinguished Alumni Lecture Series on at 4 p.m. Feb. 25 with a presentation by Fresno county Superior Court Judge Debra Kazanjian.
Kazanjian will speak to students at the Speech Arts Building, Room 151.
A Fresno native, Kazanjian received a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication in 1974 before attending the McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, where she earned her Juris Doctorate.
She will detail how her degree from Fresno State laid a foundation for her 19-year career as an attorney and her eventual election to the Superior Court in 2000, where Kazanjian serves as a judge in Probate Court.
Kazanjian is also a past president of the Fresno County Planning Commission, Fresno State Alumni Association, Channel 18 Business Advisory Committee and Fresno County Young Lawyers Association.
In 1993, she was one of the Top Ten Business and Professional Women of the Year.
The Distinguished Alumni Series welcomes alumni back to campus to speak to students in their same field of study. Each lecture is open to the public without charge.
