Compositions from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries are on the program for “An Evening of Cello Music” presented by the Department of Music at California State University, Fresno.

Fresno State faculty members Thomas Loewenheim, cello, and Hatem Nadim, piano, will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, March 12, in the Concert Hall of the Music Building on campus.

On the program are François Francoeur’s “Sonata for Cello and Piano in E major,” from the 18th century; Gaspar Cassadó’s 20th century “Suite for Cello Solo”; and Frédéric Chopin’s “Sonata for Cello and Piano in G minor, Op. 65, written in 1845-46.
