The National Coalition Building Institute will explore prejudice reduction in three diversity workshops at California State University, Fresno open to students, faculty and the community.

The “Welcoming diversity” will be the theme of workshops 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 10, April 14 and May 1.

Workshops are free for Fresno State students and faculty and $75 for the public, with sponsorships available. Reservations are required as seating is limited.

“The workshop is most effective when the participant attends the whole session so it is important to be present for the entire day,” said Francine Oputa, director of the Central Valley Cultural Heritage Institute, a co-sponsor with the Office of the President and the President’s Commission on Human Relations and Equity at Fresno State.

The National Coalition Building Institute is an international organization that promotes respect, appreciation and equal treatment of all people.
