California State University, Fresno will observe a modified summer work schedule through Aug. 13.

The university’s official summer work hours will be 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch period.

The 7 a.m. starting time was instituted several years ago as an energy-saving measure during the state’s energy crisis. The campus has generated significant energy and financial savings with the modified summer schedule.

The University Police Department is open 24 hours a day and can be reached at 559.278.8400.
