Team Bulldog – bicyclists from the faculty and staff at California State University, Fresno – is taking up the Fresno County Bicycle Coalition and city of Fresno’s challenge to ride bicycles to work on Wednesday, May 19.

Bike to Work Day is a corporate challenge issued to promote good health and clean air by encouraging people to commute to work by bicycle.

In 2009, 91 Team Bulldog riders participated, logging a cumulative 566 miles.

Participation is free. Raffle prizes are available to everyone who participates, including an $1,100 bike. The corporate challenge winners in each size category will receive free commemorative t-shirts.

Refreshment stations throughout the community will be provided during the morning commute. Fresno State will have a refreshment station in front of the North Gym from 7 to 9 a.m. Campus

bicyclists are invited to ride to the North Gym for a Fresno State team photo at 7:30 a.m.
