The International Commencement Celebration on at California State University, Fresno will be streamlined live on the Internet so friends and relatives of the 151 graduating students from 30 countries can watch.

The event will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 22, at the Concert Hall in the Music Building. Refreshments will be served from 11:30 a.m. and the procession is planned at 1 o’clock.

The live stream is funded by the Fresno State Parents Association.

“This is a group of people who can very easily imagine how important it is to students’ parents to be able to see their son or daughter at this exciting time,” said Dr. Lucia Hammar, director of the International Student Services and Programs at Fresno State.

Dr. Karen Carey, dean of Graduate Studies, and Dr. Dennis Nef, dean of Undergraduate Studies, will speak to the 91 post baccalaureate candidates and 60 undergraduates.

Live streaming also will be provided for the University Commencement that morning and the Graduate Hooding Ceremony the previous night. The three broadcasts – with captioning – can be viewed on Bulldog TV atbulldogtv.csufresno.edu, with replays available at “Recent Events.”
