The 25th anniversary season of CSU Summer Arts brings the usual broad range of creative arts practitioners and educators to the California State University, Fresno campus for the 12th consecutive year.

From June 27 through July 23, CSU Summer Arts will welcome students to campus to learn from renowned experts and from California State University professors about visual arts, theater, music, dance, writing and new media. Each class culminates with a public presentation, exhibition or concert by the students.

The artists teaching the courses offer public performances, lectures, discussions and readings during their time at Fresno State, providing the entire community with diverse creative arts opportunities.

The public performances begin June 27 with the return of a popular previous CSU Summer Arts participant: Urban Bush Women, a contemporary dance troupe. During the following four weeks, there will be lectures on animation, photography and sculpture, plus a cabaret show with Alexandra Billings, a solo show by actor and mime Bill Bowers and a performance by the Diavolo Dance Theatre.

CSU Summer Arts is a multidisciplinary creative arts educational program operated for the benefit of the entire 23-campus California State University system.
