Chee Her, a California State University, Fresno student majoring in Culinology®, won the Student Artisan Bread competition at the third annual America’s Best Raisin Bread Contest in Manhattan, Kan.

She was one of a dozen student bakers and 26 professionals competing Thursday-Saturday, Oct. 14-16 bakeoff sponsored by the Fresno-based California Raisin Marketing Board, which represents nearly 3,000 growers of California raisins.

Her and the other 11 winners will visit the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley, Yosemite National Park and the San Joaquin Valley, where virtually all of the nation’s raisins are grown and processed.
