California State University, Fresno President John D. Welty has announced two appointments to the University Advisory Board, a panel of community members who provide him advice regarding the improvement and development of the university.
The new members are:
- Armen D. Bacon, administrator of Communications/Public Relations for the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools
- Allysunn Walker Williams, director of Planning and Community Development for the Housing Authorities of City and County of Fresno
“I am pleased that Ms. Bacon and Ms. Williams have agreed to serve in this capacity,” said Welty. “Their vision and expertise certainly will be a benefit to our board and the university.”
Welty also thanked departing Advisory Board members Julia Brown and John Boogaert for their efforts.
The Advisory Board, chaired by Jim Anton, includes members Sandy Brown, Katherine Flores, J. Michael McGowan, Hugo Morales, Michael Patton, James Shekoyan, Stephen Sotomeyer and Roxanne Stephenson.
